18 July 2016, on International Mandela Day, Polokwane based commercial radio station; Capricorn FM will be devoting their 67-minutes by spending time with the juvenile offenders at Modimolle Juvenile Prison in honour of Tata Nelson Mandela. This Capricorn FM initiative is titled “growing responsible men” and will see the station’s personalities motivating and interacting with inmates.
The key motive for the visit is to inspire and motivate offenders to become responsible men upon their release. The motivation will therefore encourage them to have positive thinking, discipline, and patience as well as boosts their self-esteem.
Capricorn FM marketing manager Mr Ntsieni Ramabulana says, “It’s an honour to be given an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of young men who have lost their way. We aim to alter their perspective on life and hopefully they will become better members of society”.
“Madiba paved the way; it’s time we ordinary South Africans took the gauntlet and continued his amazing work” added Ramabulana.
Over and above the afore-mentioned, Capricorn FM soccer team will challenge the juvenile soccer team in a 67 minutes football match.
